The 2018 Steeltek MTB Race
South Africa’s Longest Running MTB Race
Join The MOVEMENT!
The Steeltek MTB Race first took place in 1990, making it South Africa’s longest running marathon distance MTB race.
It is one of 4 official annual Fat Tracks MTB Club races, and was conceived as being a tough marathon distance MTB race specifically designed to test the endurance of riders.
It will take place again at Hopewell Estate, offering stronger riders a choice of a tough 60km and those that aren’t so strong can opt for the slightly less tough 40km route, and we also have a real easy 20km route for thos that don’t feel up to the longer distance challenges.

Kids MTB Ride & Lucky Draw
This is a fun event for all kids 13 and under to enter.
Bring your bikes and ride the mini MTB course, and get entered into our lucky draw to win a Norco kiddies MTB bike
The winner can choose from a 16″,20″ or 24″ Norco kids MTB.
It’s a ride, not a race, so no prizes will be awarded to the first child in, they are all winners.
