The Sunshine Coast Trail Run is a firm favourite on the local trail running calendar.
With 3 distance options, this trail run has something for everyone.
Brooks are donating two awesome pairs of Brooks Trail Shoes as a lucky draw, and there will be loads of other lucky draw prizes as well.
General Race Information
Pre-entries can be done online.
The first 50 entrants will receive an item of commemorative event headwear.
10% FAMILY DISCOUNT OFFER (3 or more entries): if you are a family of 3 or more, please contact Sheena for a discount on your entry fees.
EARLY BIRD PRICING: Early Bird pricing will be in effect until Wed 4 July
Late entries will be accepted on race day. There will be a late entry fee of R30.
Online entries close at midnight on Thursday 23 August.
Early registration for pre-entrants as well as late entries will take place on Friday 24th August at Trailbusters, 48 Villiers Road, Walmer, between 4pm & 5:30pm.
Medical assistance will be available but all medical aid details must be completed on the entry form.
All finishers will receive a Sunshine Coast Trail Run medal.

Kiddies Trail Run
This is a free and fun event for all pre-primary children (U-7) to enter.
Parents are welcome to join them!
It will be held at 11h00 in the field.
No prizes will be awarded to the first child in, they are all winners.
7km Trail Run
There is no age restriction for the 7km, but children younger than 10 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration starts at 6h00 and ends at 8h15 on race day if you didn’t register at Trailbusters.
Race briefing is at 8h25.
Race starts at 8h30.
There will be a water point along the route.
All cups and litter must be left at the water point.
There will be a sweeper on the 7km to ensure everyone gets through the course.
Prizegiving is at 12h00.
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female on the 7km.
14km Trail Run
There is no age restriction for the 14km, but children younger than 10 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration starts at 6h00 and ends at 8h00 on race day if you didn’t register at Trailbusters.
Race briefing is at 8h10.
Race starts at 8h15.
There will be water points / checkpoints along the route, however we recommend that runners carry their own fuelbelts, camelbaks or water bottles which can be refilled at the water points.
All cups and litter must be left at the water point.
There will be a sweeper on the 14km to ensure everyone gets through the course.
Prizegiving is at 12h00.
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female on the 14km.
21km Trail Run
21km entrants must be 16 years or older.
Registration starts at 6h00 and ends at 7h45 on race day if you didn’t register at Trailbusters.
Race briefing will take place at 7h50.
Race starts at 8h00.
There will be water points / checkpoints along the route, however we recommend that runners carry their own fuelbelts, camelbaks or water bottles which can be refilled at the water points.
This is a green race so no litter will be tolerated. Please discard any wrappers / papers at the checkpoints, and no plastic cups will leave the water points!
The route will be well marked and there will be a sweeper ensuring everyone gets through the course.
Prizegiving will be at 12h00.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female runners.
