The 2018 Valley Burn Vertical Trail Challenge

It’s Time To GET YOUR VERT ON!
Come and experience a vertical trail running challenge right in the heart of Port Elizabeth.
Introduced in 2017, this event brings the challenge of vertical trail running to the PE trail community, while at the same time allowing spectators to be a part of the action through the unique design of the course.
Designed as a 5km loop, with a total elevation gain of 250m, elevation loss of 250m and roughly 70% single track trail per loop, this course will test your trail skills to the MAXIMUM.
Each loop will start and end in the race village, and each race will encompass a different number of loops and consequent total elevation gain.
There are 5 significant climbs (and associated descents) per loop, and the entrants will run through the race village area twice per loop, making it a very spectator friendly trail event.
Come and enjoy the beautiful Baakens Valley and experience the challenge of vertical trail running!
